GET INVOLVED!
If you’re interested in ACD Housing and its policy interventions, it’s critical that you attend your Neighborhood Planning Unit (NPU) meetings and have your voice heard!
In August & September 2021, the ACD Housing ordinances went before every NPU in the city for review and comment.
In October 2021, all 25 NPUs voted on the ACD Housing substitute text amendment ordinance.
The recommendations of the NPUs are a critical step in the legislative process.

NPUs are citizen advisory councils that make recommendations to the Mayor and City Council on zoning, land use, and other planning-related matters. There are 25 NPUs in the city, all of which hold monthly meetings. Anyone can attend and speak at any NPU.

Following the NPUs’ vote on the ACD Housing substitute text amendment ordinance, it went before the City's Zoning Review Board (ZRB) for a vote of recommendation. The 2021 ZRB meeting schedule can be found here.
After ZRB reviews and votes on the ordinance, it went back to City Council's Zoning Committee for a vote, and then on to a full City Council meeting for a final vote.
